Jacqueline Larson M.S., R.D. is a consultant, registered dietitian specializing in meeting the nutritional needs of Special Children and Adults. She has worked as a consultant dietitian in long term care since 1986.
Jacqueline has worked as a consultant for Skilled Nursing Home, Assisted Living and Group Homes for the Developmentally disabled. As her business grew she realized her passion for working with individuals with special needs. Jacqueline now has focused her growing practice on individuals with Special Needs.

Career History and Education
Jacqueline earned a B.S. in Human Nutrition and Food Service Management from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. After graduation, she worked at the university as a Food Production Manager while she worked on a Master’s degree. Jacqueline earned her M.S. in Human Nutrition with Emphasis in Metabolic Nutrition from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. After graduation, she started her career as a consultant dietitian in long term care services.
Professional Interests
As an active member on local and national, dietetic association Jacqueline offers support to other dietitians, assists in planning local events and writes newsletters.
Publications
Jacqueline published “The Group Home Cookbook” first edition, in 1991. The cookbook was developed to assist group homes in preparing delicious, nutritious, economical meals. After the success of her first cookbook, Jacqueline developed the second edition adding an additional one hundred recipes. Jacqueline has also developed menus for group homes for the developmentally disabled and specialized Prader Willi syndrome Menus. The cookbook, group home menus and Prader Willi Syndrome are all available to order on line.
Other Work Experience
In addition to managing her own business, Jacqueline works part time at Orange Coast College and Santa Ana College as a nutrition instructor.
Leisure Time
When she is not busy with work, Jacqueline likes to spend time with her husband and three children. She enjoys traveling, photography, and exploring new restaurants.

Group Home Consultant Services
Consultant Services are available for the Southern California area for Group Homes for the Developmentally Disabled. For further information contact, Jacqueline Larson .
Individual Counseling
Currently individual counseling is only available over the phone or live on -line i(through video chat via Skype, a free internet service.) To arrange a phone or on line session, send Jacqueline Larson an e-mail. Sessions are usually available Monday, Wednesday and Fridays 9 a.m. to noon. (Pacific Coast Time) Special arrangements can be made if necessary.
Sessions Cost: This fee schedule applies to telephone and live on line sessions.
Accepted forms of payment are: major credit card via the website pay pal account prior to the session.
Initial Consultation: $195.00- 75 minutes
Follow up sessions: Regular 30 minute session are $90.00
Extended 45 minutes sessions are $135.00
A 24 -hour notice is required for all cancellations. With such notice, we are am able to schedule someone else in your time slot. Otherwise, we are am unable to fill your appointment time without adequate notice and will charge you for the cancellation. We appreciate your cooperation in this regard.
Confidentiality
Our sessions are held in strict confidence. A release form must be submitted prior to your session. The release form will be used to obtain to give permission to speak to your doctor, nurse, speech pathologist or other necessary health care provider.
Billing and Insurance Coverage
At this time, we do not bill your insurance company. Some insurance companies do cover “medical nutritional counseling” but many do not. Obtaining a referral from your doctor to see a registered dietitian may help and obtaining coverage.
Between Session Phone Call and E-mail Questions
After your initial consultation, I am able to answer your questions via phone or e-mail. I will get back to your message as soon as possible. Please remember to leave your name and phone number when calling. Unfortunately, I don’t have the time flexibility to spend more than a few minutes on the phone. If you need more than a few minutes on the phone, please consider setting up an additional 30 minute session.
