Barley, Plain

1 cup Pearl Barley
with 2 1/2 cups of water
Add barley and water to sauce pan. Add cover. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to simmer. Simmer for 30-40 minutes until tender.

*For Quick cooking barley, it only take about ten minutes. Dehulled barley or hulless barley takes about 50-60 minutes.
