Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake with Frosting

Ingredients
1 Cup all purpose flour
1 Cup sugar
1/4 Cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 Teaspoon baking powder
1/4 Teaspoon baking soda
1/4 Teaspoon salt
3/4 Cup milk
1 Tablespoon shortening
1/4 Cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 Teaspoon vanilla
1 Egg
Instruction
In a bowl combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add milk, shortening, peanut butter, and vanilla. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed till combined. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Add egg and beat 2 minutes more. Pour into a greased and floured 9X1 1/2 inch round baking cake pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes or till a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes. Remove from pan.
FROSTING:
Ingredients
2 1/2 Cups powdered sugar
1/4 Cup cocoa powder
1/4 Cup margarine, softened
1/4 Cup boiling water
1/2 Teaspoon vanilla
Instruction
Mix powdered sugar and cocoa. Add margarine, boiling water, and vanilla. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed till combined. Beat for 1 minute on medium speed. Cool for 20 to 30 minutes or till of spreading consistency. Frost cooled cake.
