Ham Hocks and Beans

2 Pounds lean ham, diced
1 Ham hock bone
2 large cans pinto beans
1/2 Cup chopped onion
1 Teaspoon salt
1/2 Teaspoon pepper
In a large stock pot add ham bone, salt, beans, onion and pepper. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, cover, and cook over low heat for 2 to 3 hours. Remove bone and add ham. Heat through. Serves 8.
