12 oz. Pound fresh mushrooms
2 Pounds lean ground beef
1 Large chopped onion
1 Teaspoon garlic powder
1 Teaspoon salt
1/4 Teaspoon pepper
3 Cups canned diced tomatoes
1 Teaspoon basil
1 Teaspoon oregano
2 Pounds mostaccioli or penne pasta
Grated Parmesan cheese
1. Prepare mostaccioli according to directions on the package.
2. Sauté ground beef , onion, and mushroom in a medium size sauce pan.
3. Drain grease.
4. Add garlic powder, salt, pepper, basil, oregano, and canned tomatoes.
5. Simmer over low heat for 20 minutes ind internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
6. Serve the mostaccioli on a hot platter.
7. First a layer of pasta, then a layer of sauce.
8. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.Serves 8.
