Sloppy Joe on Bun

Portion Size: ½ c. on 1 small bun

2 1/2 pounds lean ground beef 
1/2 cup minced onionWash, peel and mince
1/2 cup celeryWash, trim and chop fine
1/2 cup green pepperWash, trim and chop fine
1 (6 oz.) tomato paste
¼ cup light corn syrup
¼ cup white vinegar
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
¼ teaspoon all spice
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup water 
1/2 teaspoon salt
8 Small Hamburger bunsMay use whole grain

1Heat ground beef, onion, celery, and green peppers in a skillet.
2Cook until ground beef is no longer pink. Drain fat.
3Add tomato paste, corn syrup, vinegar, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, all spice, garlic powder, black pepper, water, and salt.
4Simmer uncover over low heat about 20 minutes until thickened enough to spoon onto buns.Cook until internal temperature reaches 165 F degrees for 15 seconds
