Spicy Apricot Lamb Chops

8 (5 ounces each) lamb chops or 16 (2 ½ oz.) lamb chops
2 Tablespoons packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon garlic salt
½ teaspoon chili powder
1/ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon oregano
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon all spice
¼ teaspoon black pepper
½ cup apricot preserves
Preheat broiler. Trim all visible fat from pork chops. In a small bowl combine brown sugar, garlic salt, chili, powder, paprika, oregano, cinnamon, all spice, and pepper. Rub spice mixture with seasoning. Place chops on unheated rack of a broiler pan. Broil for 4 to 5 inches from the heat for 10 to 15 minutes or until done, turning meat and brushing with preserves halfway through broiling. Serves 8.
