Swiss Steak

Ingredients
1. 2-2 1/2 Pounds bottom round steak
2. 1/4 Cup flour
3. 1 Teaspoon garlic salt
4. 1 Teaspoon pepper
5. 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
6. 1/2 Cup diced carrots
7. 1/4 Cup diced celery
8. 1/2 Cup diced onion
9. 1 Cup water or beef stock
10. 1/2 Cup tomato sauce
Instruction
1. Trim all visible fat from beef.
2. Pound meat on both sides with a mallet.
3. Cut into serving size pieces
4. Combine garlic salt, pepper and flour.
5. Dredge meat in flour mixture.
6. Heat oil in a large pan.
7. Sear meat on both sides until lightly brown.
8. Add carrots, celery, onion, water or stock and tomato sauce.
9. Place in a casserole dish and bake in 300 degree oven for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
10. Bake until internal temperature 165 degrees F.

Serves 8.
