Tuna or Salmon Loaf

1/2 Cup finely chopped onion
2 Teaspoons dried dill weed
1/4 Teaspoon pepper
2 Tablespoons margarine
2 Eggs, beaten
2 Cups bread crumbs
1/2 Cup milk
2 (15 ounce) can pink salmon, drained, flaked, and skin and bones removed; or
4 cups tuna, drained and broken into chunks (water packed)
4 Slices American cheese
In a saucepan cook onion, dill weed, and pepper in margarine till onion is tender. Combine egg, bread crumbs, milk, and onion mixture. Add salmon; mix well. Shape into a loaf in a greased shallow baking pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 to 35 minutes. Top with cheese slices. Serve 8.
