Pork Chop with Apricot Ginger Teriyaki Sauce

Portion Size: 3 oz. boneless, 5 oz. with bone

8 boneless pork chops, ½ inch thickTrim all visible fat
½ teaspoon black pepper 
¼ cup oil 
1 cup apricot fruit preserves 
½  cup lite soy sauce 
2 teaspoons ginger 
½ teaspoon garlic powder Or used 2 cloves, minced
3 Tablespoons honey 
2  teaspoons, sesame seeds 
¼ cup chopped green onions (optional)Wash, trim and slice.
For gluten free (GF): Use GF soy sauce.  Always check each ingredient to be sure it is gluten free.

1In a large nonstick skillet, heat oil over medium high heat. Brown chops and season with  pepper. 
2Cook chops on both sides, turning only for about 8-9 minutes totalCook to 145°F for 15 seconds.  
3In a small bowl combine apricot preserves, soy sauce, ginger, garlic powder, honey and sesame seeds. 
4Whisk thoroughly. Pour sauce over chops and heat until thick and bubbly. Serve chops and pour sauce over chops. Top with green onions.
