Spicy Peach or Pear Salad
Portion Size: 1/2 cup
Ingredients: Yields: 8 servings

| 1/3 cup vinegar | |
| 1 stick cinnamon | |
| 1/3 cup sugar | |
| 8 whole cloves | |
| 8 halves of cooked fresh or canned peaches or pears | Washed, pitted and cut in half |
| 1/2 cup light cream cheese or lowfat cottage cheese | |
| 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper | |
| 3 tablespoons light mayonnaise |

| 1 | Add 1/4 cup water to the vinegar in a sauce pan. | |
| 2 | Add the cinnamon, sugar, cayenne pepper. and cloves, and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove cloves. Remove from heat and stir in mayonnaise. | |
| 3 | Pour over the fruit and chill. | |
| 4 | Fill centers with cream cheese or cottage cheese. |
