2 Pounds lean ground beef
8 Hamburger buns (whole wheat)
Optional ingredients to add to ground beef:
1/2 Cup minced onions or
1 Egg or
1/2 Cup bread crumbs and 1/2 Cup nonfat milk or
1 Package dried onion soup mix or
garlic powder or
Worsestershire sauce or
1/2 Cup sautéed mushrooms or
1/2 Cup Roquefort cheese or
1 Teaspoon parsley flakes
Salt and pepper to taste
1. Mix ground beef with desired ingredients.
2. Form beef into eight equal beef patties.
3. Broil, grill, or sauté until no longer pink inside and internal temperature reaches 165 degree F.
4. Serve on hamburger buns.Serves 8.
