Alfredo Sauce

Portion Size: ¼ cup

½ cup butter
2 (8 oz.) light cream cheese
3 teaspoons garlic powder
4 cups nonfat milk
12 oz. grated Parmesan cheese
½ teaspoon pepper

1In a large saucepan oil over medium heat, melt butter. Add cream cheese and garlic powder, stirring constantly with wire whisk until smooth.  Slowly pour in milk and whisk. 
2Stir in Parmesan cheese and pepper.  Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.  Serve hot.
