Apple Raison Chutney

Portion Size: 2 Tablespoons

Ingredients: Yields: 8 servings

Ingredients Notes: 
1/4 cup raisons
4 cups tart apples Washed, peeled, cored and finely chopped or minced
1 small onion, cut in half
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
1 cup water 
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup white vinegar
 
This is a gluten free recipe. Always check each ingredient to be sure it is gluten free.

1In a saucepan, mix the apples, onion, ginger, vinegar, white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, white pepper, and nutmeg
2Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and cover. .
3Simmer 30 minutes, stirring frequently, until the apples are tender. 
4Mix in some water if necessary to keep the ingredients moist. 
5Remove the onion and ginger, and store in the refrigerator until ready to serve
