Blueberry Sauce Alternate: Blackberry Sauce, Raspberry Sauce, Mango Sauce, Cherry Sauce or Peach Sauce

Portion Size: 2 Tablespoons

Ingredients: Yields: 8 servings

Ingredients Notes: 
2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries* or other fresh or frozen fruit: Apricots, Blackberries, Raspberries, Mangos, Cherries or Peaches
¼  cup water
1 cup orange juice
¾ cup sugarAdd the zest of 1 lemon too (optional)
¼ cup cold water
3 tablespoons cornstarch
 
This is a gluten free recipe. Always check each ingredient to be sure it is gluten free.

1In a medium sauce pan over medium heat, combine blueberries (or other fruit), ¼ cup of water, orange juice and sugar. Stir gently and bring to boil.
2In a cup or small bowl. Mix together the cornstarch and ¼ cup cold water.  Gently stir the cornstarch into the fruit.  Simmer 3 to 4 minutes
3Remove from heat. 
4Serve warm or chill and serve cold.
