Ham and Tortellini Alfredo

Portion Size: 1 ½ cups (approx. 3 oz. meat, ½ c. pasta and ½ c. peas and mushrooms)

Ingredients: Yields: 8 servings

Ingredients Notes: 
1 pound fresh tortellini pasta
2 pounds lean cooked ham, dicedTrim all visible fat
3 cups frozen green peas
2 cups fresh mushroomWashed, trimmed and sliced
1 (32 oz.) low fat Alfredo style pasta sauce
For gluten free (GF): Use GF tortellini pasta and GF Alfredo sauce. See recipe for Alfredo sauce in sauce section.  Always check each ingredient to be sure it is gluten free.

1Cook Tortellini according to the directions on the package. Drain.
2In a large skillet add ham, peas, and mushroom and heat thoroughly.
3Add sauce and tortellini  to ham and stir all together.
4Heat to a slow boil. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes. Serve hot.Cook until internal temperature reaches 165°F for 15 seconds.
