Hot Spiced Cider

Portion Size: 1 cup

Ingredients Notes: 
8 cups apple cider or apple juice
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
6 stick cinnamon
1 teaspoon whole allspice
1 teaspoon cloves
8 whole cloves

1In a large saucepan combine apple cider or juice and brown sugar.
2For spice bag, place cinnamon, allspice, and whole cloves in a double thickness of cheesecloth.  
3Bring up corners cheesecloth and tie with a string.  
4Add spice bag to cider mixture.  
5Bring to boiling; reduce heat.  
6Cover and simmer at least 10 minutes. 
7Remove spice bag and serve.
