Sloppy Joe on Bun
Portion Size: ½ c. on 1 small bun

| 2 1/2 pounds lean ground beef | |
| 1/2 cup minced onion | Wash, peel and mince |
| 1/2 cup celery | Wash, trim and chop fine |
| 1/2 cup green pepper | Wash, trim and chop fine |
| 1 (6 oz.) tomato paste | |
| ¼ cup light corn syrup | |
| ¼ cup white vinegar | |
| 1 teaspoon chili powder | |
| 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce | |
| ¼ teaspoon all spice | |
| ¼ teaspoon garlic powder | |
| ¼ teaspoon black pepper | |
| 1/2 cup water | |
| 1/2 teaspoon salt | |
| 8 Small Hamburger buns | May use whole grain |

| 1 | Heat ground beef, onion, celery, and green peppers in a skillet. | |
| 2 | Cook until ground beef is no longer pink. Drain fat. | |
| 3 | Add tomato paste, corn syrup, vinegar, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, all spice, garlic powder, black pepper, water, and salt. | |
| 4 | Simmer uncover over low heat about 20 minutes until thickened enough to spoon onto buns. | Cook until internal temperature reaches 165 F degrees for 15 seconds |
