Teriyaki Sauce

Portion Size: 2 Tablespoons

Ingredients: Yields: 8 servings

Ingredients Notes: 

2/3 cup mirin (Japanese sweet rice wine) 

1 cup lite soy sauce 

4 1/2 teaspoons rice vinegar

1 teaspoon sesame oil 

1/3 cup white sugar 


7 cloves garlic, minced Washed, peeled and minced

1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger Washed, peeled and minced


1 dash red pepper flakes 

black pepper to taste 
For gluten free (GF): Use GF soy sauce. Always check each ingredient to be sure it is gluten free.

1Bring mirin to a boil in a saucepan over high heat. .
2Reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer for 10 minutes. 
3Pour in soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and sugar. 
4Season with garlic, ginger, pepper flakes, and black pepper; simmer an additional 5 minutes. 
5Store in a tightly sealed container in the refrigerator
