Roast Turkey with Gravy

Portion Size: 3 oz. turkey, 2 T. gravy

Ingredients: Yields: 8 servings

Ingredients Notes: 
12 Pound whole turkeyThawed
Seasonings of choice: salt, pepper, garlic powder, seasoning salt, etc. 
Gravy Ingredients:
1/4 Cup drippings 
3 Tablespoons flour
Salt and pepper to taste
2 Cups chicken  reduced sodium stock or water
Cooked giblets (optional)Chopped

1Preheat oven to 450 degrees.  
2Trim all visible fat from turkey.     
3Place turkey on a rack and season well .Do not cover and do not add liquid.  
4Immediately reduce heat to 350 degrees.  Roast for approximately 3 1/4 to 3 3/4 hours. Internal temperature must reach 165 degrees. Serves 8
