Poached Apples

| 1½ teaspoon vanilla | |
| 8 medium apples | Washed, peeled, halved, and cored |

| 1 | In a large skillet bring sugar, orange juice, vanilla, and 1 Cup water to boiling. | |
| 2 | Add apples. | |
| 3 | Reduce heat. | |
