1Add barely and water to sauce pan. Add cover. 
2Bring to boil. Reduce heat to simmer.
3Simmer for 30-40 minutes until tender.Internal temperature 135 F. 
4**For Quick cooking barely, it only takes about 10 minutes. De-hulled barley or hulless barely takes about 50-60 minutes.
