| 1 | Bring water to a boil. | |
| 2 | Add rice and reduce heat to simmer. | |
| 3 | Place lid on the pot. | |
| 4 | Cook covered for about 50 minutes. | |
| 5 | Test the rice. | |
| 6 | If the rice is soft and the water is absorbed, the rice is done. | |
| 7 | If the rice is not quite done let it sit with the lid on another 10 minutes. | Internal temperature 135 F. |
| 8 | You may need to add more water. |
