Sloppy Joe on Bun (meatless)

Portion Size: ½ c. on 1 small bun

2 1/2 Pounds imitation  ground beef 
1/2 Cup minced onionWash, peel and mince
1/2 Cup celeryWash, trim and chop fine
1/2 Cup green pepperWash, trim and chop fine
1 (6 oz.) tomato paste
¼ cup light corn syrup
¼ cup white vinegar
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon soy sauce
¼ teaspoon all spice
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
¼ teaspoon black pepper
1/2 Cup water 
1/2 Teaspoon salt
8 Small Hamburger bunsFor vegan: use GF hamburger buns

1Heat ground beef, onion, celery, and green peppers in a skillet.
2Add tomato paste, corn syrup, vinegar, chili powder, soy sauce, all spice, garlic powder, black pepper, water, and salt.
3Simmer uncover over low heat about 20 minutes until thickened enough to spoon onto buns.Cook until internal temperature reaches 165 F degrees for 15 seconds
