Baked Dressing

Portion Size: ½ cup

1 cup celery Washed and finely chopped
1 large onion Washed and finely chopped
1 tablespoon butter or olive oil 
6 cups seasoned bread cubes (stuffing mix) 
2 cups low sodium chicken broth
1 ½ teaspoons poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon sage 
For gluten free (GF): Use GF bread cubes, GF chicken broth and GF poultry seasoning. Always check each ingredient to be sure it is gluten free.

1Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). 
2Add oil or butter in a skillet and heat to medium high heat. Place celery and onions in the skillet. 
3Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. 
4Drain and set aside. 
5In a large bowl combine celery mixture with bread crumbs, chicken broth, poultry seasoning and sage. 
6Mix well and transfer to a baking dish.
7Bake, covered, for 45 minutes or until well set and cooked through. Internal temperature 135 F.
