Creamy Cucumber Salad

| 1 tablespoon vinegar or lemon juice | |
| 1 teaspoon sugar | |
| 1/4 teaspoon dried dill weed | (optional) |
| 4 medium cucumbers | Washed, halved lengthwise, and thinly sliced |
| 1 small onion | Peeled, washed, thinly sliced, and separated into rings |
| 1 teaspoon salt | |
| Dash of pepper |
