Meatball Sandwich
Portion Size: 1 Sandwich
Ingredients: Yields: 8 servings

| 8 Hoagie Rolls | May use whole grain |
| 1 pound lean ground beef | |
| 8 oz. shredded low fat Mozzarella | |
| 2 cups prepared marinara sauce | |
| 1 egg | |
| ¼ cup onion | Wash, peel and diced |
| 1/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs |

| 1 | Combine ground beef, onion, egg, and bread crumbs in a bowl. Shape into ½ inch balls. | |
| 2 | Cook in pan over medium high heat. Turning as you cook to brown. Drain excess fat from pan. Add marinara sauce and heat. | Cook until internal temperature reaches 165 F degrees for 15 seconds |
| 3 | To serve: add 3 oz. meatballs with sauce to each bun. Top with Mozzarella and serve warm. (may brown Mozzarella under broiler) |
