Rice Pilaf with Pine Nuts and Green Onion

3 tablespoon olive oil 
½ teaspoon salt 
¼ teaspoon black pepper 
½ cups sliced green onionsWashed
2 cups long grain riceUncooked
½ cup pine nuts

1Heat olive oil in 3-quart saucepan over medium high heat. 
2Cook rice, ½ cup green onions and the nuts in the olive oil for about five minutes, stirring occasionally. 
3Stir in broth, pepper and salt. 
4Heat to coiling stirring occasionally; reduce heat; cover and simmer until water evaporates and rice is tender.Cook until internal temperature reaches 135°F.
5Cover and let stand five minutes.
