Sautéed Apples

Portion Size: ½ cup

8 apples, Washed, peeled, cored and sliced
¼ cup margarine
2 teaspoons cornstarch
½ cup cold water
½ cup brown
1 teaspoon cinnamon

1In a large skillet or saucepan, melt margarine over medium heat; add apples.
2Cook, stirring constantly, until apples are almost tender, about 6 to 7 minutes.
3Dissolve cornstarch in water; add to skillet.
4Stir in brown sugar and cinnamon.
5Boil for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and serve warm or chilled.Cook until internal temperature reaches 165°F for 15 seconds.
