Strawberry Pie
Portion Size: 1 slice, 1/8 pie

1 frozen deep dish pie crust | |
2 pints fresh strawberries | Wash, trim and slice |
1 cup sugar | |
1 cup hot water | |
3 tablespoon cornstarch | |
3 tablespoon packaged powder strawberry gelatin mix | |
1 cup light whipped topping |

1 | Prepare pie crust according to the directions on the package. Let cool. | |
2 | Wash strawberries, remove stems and cut into bite size pieces. | |
3 | In a sauce pan combine sugar, water and cornstarch. | |
4 | Cook until thick and bubbly. Remove from heat. | |
5 | Stir in strawberry gelatin powder. Let cool for 10- 15 minutes. | |
6 | Arrange fresh strawberries into pie crust. | |
7 | Pour strawberry gelatin mixture over strawberries. | |
8 | Refrigerate. Serve with whipped topping. |
