Spicy Sweet Chili Sauce (serve over meat, vegetables, or cream cheese as an appetizer.)

Portion Size: 2 Tablespoons

Ingredients: Yields: ~ 1 cup 

Ingredients Notes: 
½ cup rice vinegar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
3/4 cup water
2/3 cups sugar
2 tablespoons minced garlic
2 tablespoons light soy sauce 
Dash of cayenne pepperOr more if you like spicy
¼ cup sambal oelek(spicy Southeast Asian chili sauce)
For gluten free (GF): Use GF soy sauce and chili sauce.  Always check each ingredient to be sure it is gluten free.

1In a small bowl, combine water and cornstarch; set aside. 
2In a  skillet, heat oil over high heat.
3Add rice vinegar, cornstarch mixture, sugar, garlic, soy sauce, cayenne pepper ; cook and stir over moderate heat thick and bubbly, about 10 minutes. 
4Stir in sambal and bring to a boil. Serve warm.
