Green Bean Casserole
Portion Size: ½ cup green beans
Ingredients: Yields: 8 servings
|2 (20 ounce) cans French style green beans|
|1 (10¾ ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup, undiluted|
|1 package frozen French fried onions|

|1||Place the beans in a baking dish sprayed with nonstick spray.|
|2||Spoon soup over beans, making a smooth layer.|
|3||Place onion evenly over the top.|
|4||Bake in 300°F oven for 30 to 40 minutes.||Cook until internal temperature reaches 135°F.|
Variation: Fresh or frozen string beans can be steamed, braised, microwaved, roasted, stir fry. May add choice of herbs or spices for flavor.
Green Beans with Almonds: Sauté Green beans and top with ¼ cup roasted slivered almonds.
